Welcome To Our Farm
Once upon a time, there were three little girls... who did not go to the police academy.
They started a farm instead.
This is their story.
Welcome to the inaugural home page of Covenstead Farm, a wee patch of pasture located somewhere in the mysterious expanse of central Texas. Please follow us on journey toward a greener, healthier and hopefully prosperous new lifestyle. Feel free to make suggestions, cheer us on, or simply point and laugh.
Who we are:
A trio of witches looking for a better way.
What we do:
Through a contracted agreement with our resident hens, we sell magically delicious eggs. We are currently negotiating a similar deal with a variety of vegetable plants to give us their children in exchange for rent. We think this is fair. We thought about selling milk as well, but after a brush with goats, we decided we like our stock with feathers only.
What you will find here:
A slightly motley chicken herd comprised of former Easter gifts and assorted cast-offs
Muscovy ducks and their mongrel Mallard-cross offspring
Four surly geese
A dozen guineafowl (one lives inside, more about Juma later)
Eleven cats, four dogs and a rabbit.
Three slightly off-kilter witches of varying ages and temperaments
Three Credos we live by:
Do as ye will and harm none.
If it can possibly get any worse, it probably will.
Please, no more cats.
Stay tuned for future updates about the dumb crap we do next!
